How to Enable American Express on Your EKMPay/ClearAccept  Account

To accept American Express payments, email your American Express merchant account number to support@clearaccept.com. ClearAccept will arrange onboarding and confirm once it is active on your merchant account.When providing your merchant account number, ensure it supports the payment channels you intend to use:

  • For card terminals, the account must support POS (Point of Sale) transactions.
  • For online payments, the account must support ECOM (ecommerce) transactions.
  • For customer not present payments, the account must support MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) transactions.

How Do I Get an American Express Merchant Account?

If you wish to accept American Express but do not yet have an American Express merchant account, ClearAccept can make a referral to American Express on your behalf. They will contact you directly to discuss the application process and their rates. Once you receive your American Express merchant account number, email it to support@clearaccept.com so it can be onboarded.
