[intro] When you have completed this Guide, you will have pointed your Ionos domain at your EKM online shop. All you will have to do after this task is completed is wait 24-36 hours for propagation to occur, and your EKM online shop will officially be live!

1. Log into your EKM online shop and click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand menu:

2. Click Domain Name on the left-hand side:

3. Click Use An Existing Domain Name:

4. Click This Domain Name Is Not Being Used:

5. Enter your Ionos domain name - with the www prefix - into the field provided and click the green Add Domain button. You’ll see the IP address above this- you need to copy this number:

6. In a separate browser tab, log into your Ionos account and follow the steps here to create two A-Records on your domain:

7. You have now successfully pointed your Ionos domain at your EKM online shop. If you check on the Domain Name page in your EKM online shop, you'll be able to see that the domain has been pointed correctly as both versions ('www' and 'non-www') will have an active symbol beneath them:

[caution] You can make either version the primary domain by pressing the Make Primary button if this is the only domain name you have pointed at your shop, however, if you have an SSL certificate set up on an existing domain name pointed at your EKM online shop this will not be visible if you assign a different Primary domain name and a second SSL Certificate would need to be purchased. [remember] All changes made to domain name settings - regardless of the provider - will always require time for the changes to take effect. Pointing a domain name to a destination can take anywhere between 12 and 36 hours to propagate. [/remember]
